Administration Officers
Due to expansion, Yamatji Marlpa Barna Baba Maaja Aboriginal Corporation (YMBBMAC), has opportunities available for a Part Time and Full Time Officer Administrator in their Perth location.
These roles will provide a broad range of administrative and secretarial support within the Research and Heritage Unit and BHPB Project teams. The Research and Heritage Unit Office Administrator is a full-time position, where the BHPB Project Administration Officer position will have flexible part-time hours (18.75 per week).
Specifically, the duties for both roles will include:
Providing administrative and secretarial support;
Fulfilling general office duties, such as filing, arranging meetings, and typing minutes;
Organising travel arrangements, such as flights and accommodation;
Undertaking enquiries in relation to training courses;
Liaising with other staff where team work is a priority; and
Preparing reports and tables in relation to work tasks completed by the Research and Heritage Unit
For the BHPB Project Administration Officer, additional duties will include:
Preparing negotiation and connection meetings budgets and travel allowances
Providing support in finance administration
Liaising with external negotiation and connection teams
Maintaining diaries and booking appointments for the BHPB team
Liaising with Indigenous clients and acting as the primary point of contact
Coordinating community, working group, negotiation and in-house meetings
Organising and participating in meetings, taking attendance and minutes
The ideal candidates will have an Administration/Secretarial Certificate or will have previously worked within a similar role to gain reception, minute-taking, and switchboard experience.
As these are pivotal support roles, excellent computer literacy and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines will be essential.
Successful candidates will also have a positive attitude to both internal and external client service, and take an original approach to solving problems.
Additionally, strong communication skills are paramount as you will be interacting with clients and creating corporate correspondence as part of your daily duties.
The successful candidates will be rewarded with an excellent remuneration package circa $35, 799 - $43,443 pro rata, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus salary sacrifice options.
Furthermore, you will be conveniently based in the heart of a commercial hub in Perth's CBD, close to public transport, shops and entertainment.

Legal Secretary
Creating, formatting and amending legal documents and daily correspondence;
Performing Dictaphone typing;
Undertaking general secretarial and administrative duties;
Liaising with the Federal Court and Stamp Office with regards to legal documentation and claims;
Assisting in answering all incoming telephone traffic and responding to client enquiries; and
Organising travel arrangements, teleconferences and meetings as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a TAFE Business Administration Certificate or similar, and have two years previous experience in a similar role.
Excellent computer literacy, the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines, and a positive attitude to both internal and external client service will also be essential to succeed in this role. As you will be preparing corporate communication and legal documents as part of your daily duties, strong communication skills are also required.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with an excellent remuneration package circa $39, 590 - $48,404, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus salary sacrifice options.
