Development Projects

In addition to representing the rights of Traditional Owners in relation to native title, and land access, YMAC also work on projects to create a strong future for people and Country.

Caring for Country

Our Caring for Country program helps Traditional Owners with the protection of sites, and assists in the planning of Natural Resource Management (NRM) projects on their Country.

Natural Resource Management (NRM) describes environmental activities including flora and fauna conservation, land and sea management. Aboriginal people have a unique perspective on NRM through their relationship with Country, which is based on customary law and passed from generation to generation.

Economic and Business Development

Economic and Business Development creates community-based enterprises and assists Traditional Owners with economic development initiatives. We help groups to identify their aspirations assist with the development of business ideas, plans and job placement.
